Cocktail Meatballs
Cocktail Meatballs Recipe
This is another old favorite we have to have on our family table of appetizers during the holidays. If there isn't a crock pot or roaster with these your not at our family gathering. My mom made this a tradition over 30 years ago and our Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without this favorite. I know my mom use to make these just for her grandson Garrett. We thought he would explode eating these on Christmas eve. We add those little smoky links or hot dogs to the pan and everyone is happy. You can't ask for and easier sauce to make. I know it sounds terrible but its a tangy barbeque sauce that really compliments the meat.
1 Lb lean ground beef
1/2 Cup dry bread crumbs
1/3 Cup minced onion
1/4 Cup milk
1 Egg
1 Tbls. Parsley
1 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Worchester
Mix above ingredients and shape into balls. Brown on all sides. Set aside
I usually bake these in the oven and they come out fine. Much easier then in a fry pan and not as much mess.
SAUCE
1 Bottle Chili sauce
1 10oz Jar Grape Jelly
Heat both and then add your meat balls and if you like your little smokies. Serve Warm
See if these don't become one of your families favorites!
