Jewish Apple Coffee Cake
Jewish Apple Coffee Cake Recipe
My attempt on this delicious coffee cake was a flop.  As you can see in the picture.  I didn't read the recipe right and apparently did not bake it long enough.  It says for one hour and 10 minutes.    Oops I forgot the last 10 minutes.  I did test it with a toothpick and it came out clean,  so that is not and accurate test to this cake.  The cake is very dense and heavy so it was hard to tell when it was done.  As you can see from the pictures you don't want it to look like mine.  Seeing my mistake I thought I would put it back in the oven for a few more minutes after I had taken it out of the spring form pan.  Big mistake, let me inform all you inexperienced bakers out there, you cannot put a half baked cake back in a spring form pan.  To say the least the cake was not picture perfect.....but the taste was wonderful.  Sweet and cinnamon, packed full of apples.  Please try this recipe you won't be disappointed.

2/1/2  Teaspoons vanilla
1/2     Cup Orange Juice

Mix the first 6 ingredients together with and electric mixer.  Put half the batter in a tube pan and then top with half the apple mixture.  Add the rest of the batter and top again with the apple mixture.
